Comet Control

Comet Control is the new band from Andrew Moszynski (guitar) and Chad Ross (vox/guitar), formerly of Canadian psych rockers Quest for Fire. They are joined by Nicole Howell (bass), Jay Anderson (drums) and Christopher Sandes (keys) on their debut album for teepee records.

QFF called it quits in the winter of 2013. After 6 years and 2 stellar records, both released on teepee. "Lights from Paradise" , their second record, was crittically acclaimed and called the "most convincing guitar rock record of 2010" by popmatters. Shortly after the demise of QFF, Comet Control started playing around Toronto, opening shows for the likes of Fuzz, Dead Meadow, and the Human Eye. After the live songs came together in the spring of 2013, they began working on their s/t debut with Donny Cooper at Toronto's Candle Recording. The recording sessions revealed an extension of Quest for Fire's fuzzed out, garage and heavy psych. Sunny guitar lines, dark low end, breezy vocals and driving rockers make up the 8 songs on the record. Comet Control builds on the sound that QFF are known for, and takes it in a bright, new direction.
